Dr. Melissa J. Boston, Ed.D.

Dr. Melissa Boston is the founder of Leaders Learn and creator of the Empowering Exceptional Learners Program, bringing over 20 years of experience serving children, families, educators, and school communities. She specializes in the Science of Reading, dyslexia intervention, and supporting students with ADHD, autism, and executive functioning challenges. Her approach blends rigorous academic strategy with genuine family partnership, drawing on her background as a special education leader, school principal, and instructional coach. Dr. Boston holds an Ed.D. and M.A. in Special Education from George Washington University and a B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and currently serves as adjunct faculty at GWU.

Brooke Baker, M.Ed.

Brooke Baker is an Educational Consultant, Special Education Advocate, and Licensed Educator dedicated to helping students succeed and empowering families to navigate the educational process with confidence. She has extensive experience developing and managing IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting families through evaluations and educational planning. Licensed in Special Education and Secondary Social Studies, Brooke specializes in ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning, behavioral needs, academic intervention, and tutoring. She believes every child deserves the individualized support, skills, and confidence they need to thrive.

Jessica Torres, M.S., Ed.S.

Jessica Torres brings more than 15 years of classroom and literacy leadership experience to Leaders Learn, having served as a 5th-grade ELA teacher, Reading Coach, and Professional Development Liaison across schools in Florida and Maryland. She specializes in reading intervention, data-driven instruction, and curriculum development, with hands-on experience leading school-wide testing coordination, i-Ready administration, and staff professional development. Jessica's approach centers on closely monitoring student progress and building individualized learning plans, particularly for students who are struggling to reach grade-level reading benchmarks. Most recently, she served as a 5th-grade ELA teacher at Legends Charter School in Lanham, MD. She holds an Educational Specialist degree and a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Barry University.
